VFW Post 2782 Commander Joe Santiago spoke on the upcoming event and said, "This year we're really trying to accomplish something special."

Santiago said this year the wreaths used in the honoring ceremony will be transported by two active duty veterans and a horse drawn carriage. He said the wreaths will be held in place by a casket flag, and following the ceremony the VFW will provide light refreshments at their headquarters.

"Come out and support our veterans, Sunday is the 100th year anniversary of the signing of the armistice, and this is an event that honors many in our community," said Santiago.
