Adirondack Softball defeats Sherburne-Earlville 13-1 Monday
SHERBURNE – A Monday to forget. Another loss in the books for the hot and cold S-E lady Marauders softball team. S-E succumbed to a powerful Adirondack squad.
“We lost 13-1. We beat ourselves,” said Sherburne-Earlville head coach Michelle Parker.
Anna Rinaldo pitched first three innings – taking the loss, while Maddy Gunther finished out the game for the lady Marauders.
“Anna Struggled and we had seven errors and only four hits. Adirondack is a really good
team, defensively and offensively,” said coach Parker.
Seven errors, coupled with opportunistic scoring for Adirondack saw S-E fall off a cliff in this game.
Arielle Kraubuhl snagged 8 strikeouts with only four walks – taking the win from the mound, before Skylar Witzigman finished the final two innings, grabbing three strikeouts and no walks or hits allowed.
Sherburne-Earlville is scheduled to play their next game at Holland Patent on Wednesday, April 26, at 4:30 p.m.

Previously undefeated lady Trojans softball drop two to open the week
DEPOSIT – Deposit Softball defeated Greene 16-0 on Monday, April 24, as the previously 6-0 Greene softball team was not able to keep pace with the lady Jacks of Deposit.
16-0 in five innings, Greene was washed from the Deposit field. The lady Trojans fell behind 9-0 after just the opening inning. The fourth inning brought on another onslaught of scoring as the Lumberjacks were able to clearcut their path through the Trojan ranks.
Hannah Ludolph would take the loss on the mound, throwing all five innings to her catcher Tiffany Johns.
Deposit’s Makenzie Stiles snagged the solid win for Deposit.

Hancock Softball defeats Greene 14-10 Tuesday
GREENE – With a record of 6-1, coming off a demoralizing 16-0 loss on Monday, the Greene varsity softball team was afforded no down time – playing Hancock and suffering yet another loss at home at 14-10.
A much more competitive game, Greene showed a fight which was missing the night prior. Enough fight that the lady Trojans were impressively tied the game up in the sixth inning at 9-9.
However, errors never lead to positive things for the team committing them, after dropping five runs for the tie in the sixth inning – Hancock reversed the roles to drop five of their own runs to secure the win on the road.
Hannah Ludolph again took the loss on the mound for Greene, while Haleigh Nugent took the win for Hancock.
Sands, Boeltz, and Lawrence of Greene each finished with doubles on the day in their efforts in the loss.
Greene (6-2 overall), returns to play on Wednesday, April 26, at home against Sidney at 7:15 p.m.

Bainbridge-Guilford Softball at Delhi 20-1 Monday
DELHI – The lady Bobcats continue to roll over nearly each and every team, most recently crushing Delaware Academy 20-1 on Monday night.
The game would start slow for B-G who only managed two runs. Some teams dream of a two run opening inning, not the Bobcats – who tacked on six runs in the second inning.
Delhi would only manage one hit to go with their one run, which came in the fifth inning – following a B-G fifth inning that saw them rain down nine runs.
In the win, Kori Thornton finished 2-5 with three runs and two RBI’s, Bree Barber finished 3-3 with one RBI and two runs, the headliner going to Ashley Matthews who pounded in six RBI’s to go with her two runs and finishing 3-4 at the plate.
Alli Miller of B-G took the win, earning eight strikeouts and no walks. While Silcox took the loss for Delhi, pitching four innings and allowing 11 of B-G’s 15 total hits to go with one walk and six strikeouts.
Bainbridge-Guilford (11-1 overall), plays Hancock next on Wednesday, April 26, at home at 4:30 p.m.
“I believe they have also only lost to Deposit,” said Bainbridge-Guilford head coach Randy Palmatier when speaking with regard to Hancock’s record.
