BINGHAMTON – Two teams sitting at 8-1 as they entered the game, the always promising showdown between Seton Catholic Central and the ladies of the Norwich Tornado proved to be a one-sided matchup in 2017 as Norwich fell victim to a Lexi Levy led Saints by a score of 70-50.

Attacking Norwich from the start of the game on Jan. 12, the powerful Saints dominated the lady Tornado, simply making short work of the promising team. Norwich managed just eight first period points, while the Saints marched their way to a massive 26 point first period.

The flood gates fully opened when Seton was able to secure another dominant second period – stifling Norwich once again to a mere 11 points – while adding to their lead with 19 points.

With a dominating halftime lead at 45-19, a comeback would take some precise and near perfect play – to which Norwich did answer to the call, however, falling short on climbing all the way back into the game – posting a third and fourth period of scoring of 16 and 15 points.

Seton was led on the day by senior Lexi Levy who hit the 1,000 point mark during the game – Levy managed to finish the contest with a game high 29 points, while going 4-4 from the line.

Leading Norwich in the road loss was a trio of players; with Meghan Komendarek finishing with a team high 11 points, followed by Makenzie Maynard and Abby Flynn who each added an additional 10 points.
