B-G Advances To Finals Of The Kazalski Tournament After Crushing The Hornets

By: Cameron Turner

BAINBRIDGE – The lady Bobcats of Bainbridge-Guilford tore into their competition on Wednesday evening in the first round of the Kazalski Holiday tournament winning 54-13.

The domination of B-G over Harpursville on Dec. 28, lasted the entire game, as the Hornets managed only 10 first half points against the Bobcats who scored 27.

Down big at the half, it was in fact what happened in the second half that was impressive on the part of the B-G defense. Bainbridge-Guilford stifled any and all offense from the Hornets in the second half of play – allowing just one point in the third, and two points in the fourth.

This domination of Harpursville, came from a total team effort from the lady Bobcats, however, B-G's Megan Palmatier did lead the charge in scoring with her game high 20 points scored.

On the Harpursville side, it was just two players who managed to score in the game – as Vanessa Broover scored 11 of the total 13, while Abbie Livermore snagged the remaining two points.

With a win on Wednesday evening, Bob Conway's Lady Bobcats will advance to the finals of their home tournament. B-G – still undefeated at 6-0 – is set to play to play Hancock who defeated Tioga at 65-57 Wednesday evening as well.
