SHERBURNE - On their senior night, Thursday, October 1, the Sherburne-Earlville boys varsity soccer team hosted Clinton. The match would end 3-0 in favor of Clinton.

“They were our first league game this year and we lost 10-1,” said S-E Coach Mike Rodriguez. “Comparing the two games you can really see how much we’ve improved.”

In the first half Clinton scored twice, once off of a goal by Nishant Sharma and again from a Josh Houle shot. The two teams were very even on both offense and defense on a night when the victor was out-shot by the losing team 9-7. The major difference in play was the fact that Clinton could finish their shots and put balls in the goal, while S-E struggled to do so.
