Chenango Valley 17, Norwich 12

FENTON – Chenango Valley pounded out 20 hits winning a slugfest against visiting Norwich Wednesday afternoon.

The top six batters in the Warriors' order accounted for all of the hits led by Lexus Phillips, who had five hits and four runs scored. Earlier this season, CV edged Norwich 15-14 in another hitting showcase the featured better than a half-dozen extra-base hits.

"It was pretty much the same story as the last time we played them," said Norwich coach Scott Moore. "We got up on them early, then they took the lead back.

"We scored enough to win most games, we just got outhit tonight."

NHS junior Shannon Moore went 4-for-5 with three RBI, Hannah Eddy had three hits, while Gabby Mirabito and Allison Yacano picked up two hits apiece.

Canastota 4, Sherburne-Earlville 3

SHERBURNE – Canastota avenged a three-run loss to Sherburne-Earlville from last month scoring the winning run in the seventh on a Marauders error in Wednesday's matchup.

Kelly Mason had a two-run triple in the third that gave the Raiders a 3-1 advantage. S-E chipped away with single runs in the fourth and sixth, the latter run tying the game up.

"We hit the ball well today and we only struck out one time, but we hit it too many times at them and not into the holes," said S-E coach Michelle Parker.

Savannah Irwin had two RBI for the Marauders, who play at Little Falls today.

Worcester 4, G-MU 3

WORCESTER – Worcester scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh to win in walk-off fashion over G-MU Wednesday.

Winning pitcher Monica Ridgeway led off with a double, and moved to third on an overthrown cut-off from the Raiders' outfield. Brigid Kennison then grounded to shortstop, and Ridgeway beat the throw home for the winner.

G-MU received single RBI from Jenna Bakhuizen, Rylee D'Addezio, and Autumn Butler – none coming on a basehit. "We didn't hit the ball well today with runners in scoring position," said G-MU coach Jim Johnson.

The Raiders finish the regular season with a 6-6 record.
