Bainbridge-Guilford 47, Unatego 30
BAINBRIDGE – Bainbridge-Guilford shrugged off an erratic first half of shooting to blaze into the Midstate Athletic Conference finals next weekend against Delhi.
The Bobcats hit just 5 of 33 shot attempts in the first half and were locked in a 15-15 tie with the Spartans. “It seemed like we were just too wound up, and we did talk at halftime about getting our composure and settling down,” said B-G coach Bob Conway.
Sophomore Becca Reyes allowed the Bobcats to settle in quickly. Reyes hit a three on the opening possession of the first half, stole the ensuing inbounds pass for another layup, and had a steal and another layup for seven straight points. Later in the quarter, senior Morgan Bullis took charge with seven points including a three-point play in a 22-4 dominant stanza.
Bullis finished with 17 points and 15 rebounds in the victory, and Reyes added nine points.

Sherburne-Earlville 47, Clinton 41
SHERBURNE – Sherburne-Earlville’s Savannah Irwin was red-hot early in the game, and the Marauders needed every one of Irwin’s points.
Irwin canned four threes in the first quarter as the Marauders jumped out to a 22-2 lead. Clinton chipped away the rest of the game and came as close as three points in the fourth quarter.
“They went box-and-one on Savannah after the first quarter, and that slowed her down, and we missed some shots around the basket,” said S-E head coach Karen Mulligan. “We kept our heads when they came back, we made some plays, and got some rebounds when we needed to.”
Irwin hit two free throws in the final minute, and Stacia Beckwith added a free throw with three seconds left to finish the scoring.
Lilly Berg had 11 points in the second half for S-E finishing with 19 points to go with 19 rebounds and seven blocked shots. Irwin wound up with 18 points.
