Greene 49, Unatego 33
OXFORD – Greene's suffocating defense led it to an 18-point halftime lead in Monday's Oxford Tournament victory.
"We really limited their shot opportunities in the first half, we got a lot of steals, and we rebounded well," said Greene coach Dave Gorton.
Audrey Platta ignited the Trojans offense early scoring nine of her season-high 13 points in the first quarter as Greene assembled a 14-6 lead. "She took charge for us and got us off to a good start," Gorton said of Platta.
Katie Carey led Greene with 14 points, and Kristie Haskell matched Platta's 13-point outing.
The Trojans play Afton in the tournament's title game tonight at 6:15 p.m.

OXFORD – Afton built a 19-4 lead in the first half, and withstood a furious Oxford rally to advance to the finals of the Oxford Tournament.
Oxford ended the first half on a 9-2 run to close Afton's lead to 21-13, then started the second half on a 11-3 spurt to knot the game up.
"We played really well in the second and third quarters, and fought hard to make it a good game," said Oxford coach Chris Palmer.
Afton's Shakari Coss completed a three-point play late in the third quarter, and then scored the first six points of the fourth quarter as Afton pulled away. "That segment where Coss scored nine straight points was the difference in the game," Palmer said.
