NORWICH – A Chenango County grand jury indicted individuals in May on various charges, including assault, drug offenses, pornography charges, and driving while intoxicated.

• Christopher L. Turner, 41, Preston, was indicted on two counts of first degree assault, a class B felony; burglary in the first degree, a class B felony; burglary in the second degree, a class C felony; assault in the second degree, a class D felony; aggravated criminal contempt, a class D felony; and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor.

It is alleged that on April 12, 2014, in the Town of Preston, that Turner did intentionally enter and remain in a residence where it’s further alleged that he intended to and did cause serious physical injury to two individuals, one of whom had a lawful order of protection against Turner. He will appear in court again at a later date.

• Darren L. Pollock, 27, Norwich appeared in CCC and was indicted on five counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child, a class D felony. Allegedly, on or about September 11, 2013, in the town of Norwich, Pollock, knowing the character/content thereof, produced, directed or promoted any performance which included sexual conduct by a child less than 17 years of age. It is alleged that he, knowing the character and content of, did promote by sharing still images of child pornography (one count for each image).

Pollock was also indicted on six counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child, a class E felony. It is alleged that on or about about September 11, 2013, in Norwich, knowing the character and content thereof, he did knowingly possess or control any performance which included sexual conduct by a child less than 16 years of age. Allegedly, he did possess a sexual performance by a child that involved still images of child pornography (one count for each image).

• David J. Menard, 57, Bainbridge, appeared in CCC and was indicted on one count of promoting a sexual performance by a child, a class D felony. Allegedly, on or about November 25, 2013, in Bainbridge, he knowing the character/content thereof, produced, directed or promoted any performance which included sexual conduct by a child less than 17 years of age. It is alleged that he, knowing the character and content of, did promote by sharing a still image of child pornography.

Menard was also indicted on one count of possessing a sexual performance by a child, a class E felony. It is alleged that on or about May 14, 2014, in Bainbridge, knowing the character and content thereof, he did knowingly possess or control any performance which included sexual conduct by a child less than 16 years of age. Allegedly, he did possess a sexual performance by a child that involved a still image of child pornography.
