With five returning starters and a total of seven returning players, Sherburne-Earlville softball is prepared to play. While S-E has five seniors, the biggest impact player is an underclassmen. "Savannah Irwin has four solid pitches that she can throw anytime,"said head Coach Scott Fitzpatrick. The sophomore also plays shortstop. "She's our biggest

impact player, last year as a freshman she was our MVP. She led the team last year in several categories," said

Fitzpatrick. On the second day of outside practice, Fitzpatrick shared some softball insight. "I'm a firm believer in not having big power in clean up. If you get on,

you want to have somebody to get them in," said Fitzpatrick. Maybe that is why Savannah Irwin bats third.
