In a game against Sauquoit Valley, with Jordan and Savannah missing, Lily took advantage of her height and finished tough shots inside. She played a lot of AAU in the off season to work on her game. "If she keeps working (on her face up game), the sky's the limit on what she can do. She has a lot of potential," said Mulligan.
Jenni Borfitz, Norwich, senior
Jenni Borfitz is also leaving Norwich to attend college in the fall. The senior had 260 total points, draining 23 three-pointers in 2013-14. “We leaned on Jenni a lot more this year to score than we have in the past,” said Norwich head coach Josh Bennett. Last year she averaged under 12 points a game, that number rose this season to over 13. Her defense is something to reckoned with as well. “Anytime we needed to do something in terms of taking someone out of the game through man to man and defending she did the job,” said Bennett. Borfitz lead the team in steals for three consecutive seasons. The point guard had a positive assist to turnover ratio and handled the pressure of the position with poise. Coach Bennett thinks highly of his player. “You hope that your children turn out as caring, as responsible and as respectful as her,” he said, “she’s just a class act.”

As a freshman she averaged only three points a game. "She is a young lady that has just developed tremendously over the last couple of years," said Conway. Bullis had a season high 21 rebounds against Unadilla Valley. "She's probably the best offensive rebounder in our league," said the coach, "she's just one of those kids that you love to have on the court because she never stops."
Katie Carey, Greene, sophomore
Katie Carey tallied 157 points, eight a game and six games in double figures. the 6-foot-one sophomore is a complete team player. "She knows how to pass up a good shot for a great shot," said Gorton, "she should be one of the top scorers in the league next year."
Breanna Cashman, Norwich, senior
Breanna Cashman is a senior at Norwich and she scored 203 total points this year, “She was a catalyst for us on offense,” said head coach Joshua Bennett. While she scored a respectable ten points per game, the Purple Tornado benefitted from her playmaking ability. “She could not score in the game and still control everything we did offensively... she was our high school girls version of Magic Johnson,” said Bennett. She had 14 points in the first game of the season, a loss to rival Oneonta. She made 14 three-pointer and was right around 40 percent from the three point line in 2013-14. She was top two in every statistical category for the Norwich girls varsity basketball team, that includes blocked shots. “Career wise, she is the best shot blocking guard I've ever seen play in my life, she is the best, that includes every girl I've ever seen play high school basketball,” said Bennett. According to her coach she is “an incredible person and a great leader (and) she will be missed next year.”
