Harpursville 64, Oxford 22
HARPURSVILLE – Harpursville, led by senior Miranda Drummond, jumped out on Oxford early in the final game of the Hornets’ round-robin tourney.
Drummond, a St. Bonaventure recruit next season, hit three threes and scored 12 points in an 18-2 opening stanza. “They have a high quality team, they’re number one in the state, and they played like that in the first and third quarters,” said Oxford coach Chris Palmer. “We played them even in the second quarter, and I hope that is something we can build on.”
