“Quilts – The Work of Many” show in Oxford Saturday

OXFORD – The Thursday Night Quilters (TNQ) are hosting their sixth (biennial) quilt show “Quilts – the Work of Many” on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., at the United Church of Oxford. Enjoy a fine exhibit of heirloom and new quilt works, lots of raffles, and even have lunch, all in good company and relaxing music in the UCO Fellowship Hall.

The Thursday Night Quilters group members are: Linda Meek, Joyce Tefft, Blanche Tefft, Sharon McGowan, Nancy Ryan, Lisa DiSalvo, Anne Perry, Sharon Chrisbacher, Theresa Reina, Barbara White and Marian Ireland. Marian will be demonstrating hand quilting.

There will be older stitched creations on display, some that span decades; treasured family keepsakes filled with wonderful stories about the quilt designs. Alongside these gems will be brand new quilts, destined to become heirlooms, covering a variety of traditional and contemporary styles. This year’s theme is sure to have instilled some special heart-felt designs, so don’t miss “Quilts – the Work of Many” for an educational, inspirational and ‘comforting’ expo. (Remember, you can’t go again until 2014!)
