We’re falling again, Patrollers! The cold has started up a little bit (fun, fun) and now the summer has gone. The DVD Patrol is gearing up for colder weather but the movies we have can heat things up. The Toddster might even have a little news about a teamup, but more on that later. Warming things up!
New on DVD
The Cabin in the Woods - Going on vacation and playing games can go hand in hand but not in all cases. Curt (Chris Hemsworth) and Dana (Kristen Conolly) wanted to take some time off and decided to go into the country with some friends. Little did they know that their vacation was going to take some strange turns when a broadcasting group decided to launch a game with a reality show twist. Their plans start to take an even stranger twist when members of the group start to die? Can Curt and Dana get to the bottom of what’s happening before it’s too late? Hemsworth is currently working on “Thor: The Dark World” headed to theaters next year and he can also be seen in “Red Dawn” in theaters in November.
Hawaii Five-O - (Season 2) One of my favorite shows is here and Season 2 pulls out a few stops. Steve Mcgarrett (Alex O’Laughlin) and Danny Williams (Scott Caan) are in Hawaii solving crimes and don’t do it in the conventional way. In the Season 2 opener, Steve has been arrested for killing the governor and Danny has been reassigned with the rest of the team. Danny decides to go against orders and Steve has found a way to escape from prison. Will Steve and Danny find a way to see who the real killers are? Season 1 is available in stores now and Season 3 begins on CBS Monday Sept. 24.
