Here’s the Good Word, Patrollers! This week’s word is new. The Toddster is happy to say we have an all new week of all new DVDs and August was a bit slow with new ones coming out. The Patrol was able to put together a pretty good list for everyone. We also hope you’ve enjoyed the last few weeks with some special columns coming out. Time to see what we see.
New on DVD
Battleship - Sometimes it takes a while for a hero to find his calling. Alex Hopper (Taylor Kitsch) was not sure which way his life was going. He thought he found the love of his life with Sam (Brooklyn Decker). He thought he would impress her by sneaking into a store and picking up something she wanted. He tried to make it right later but it didn’t go as he planned. Alex got himself into trouble and the judge gave him a choice: go to jail or join the Navy. Alex decided to join the Navy but he did things his own way. He’ll have do things his own way when a strange force from beyond the stars decides to start invading the Earth. After an attack, everyone has been wiped out except for Alex’s ship with him left in command. The crew looks to him for guidance and leadership. Will Alex step up and lead the troops to victory? Pick up another DVD along the same lines in “Starship Troopers: Invasion” available in stores now.
NCIS - One of the Toddster’s favorites returns with another fun filled season as Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and his NCIS team investigate crimes against the Military and terrorism abroad. In the Season 9 opener, it seems Gibb’s agent Tony Denozzo (Michael Weatherly) has been on special assignment given to him by the Secretary of the Navy without his knowledge. Gibbs doesn’t exactly like it when he’s kept out of the loop. He’ll have to be read in with the rest of the team to find a killer who’s been on the loose going after NCIS agents. Are Gibbs and the team going to be able to find out what’s happening? Season 1-9 are now in stores with Season 10 beginning September 25 on Tuesdays airing on CBS at 8PM.
