Greene 1, Sidney 0
SIDNEY – Greene senior Alex Driscoll reaching a scoring milestone Thursday afternoon at Sidney. Driscoll scored the game’s only goal in the second half, his 26th of the season and 100th overall in his five-year varsity career.
“It was a typical Alex Driscoll goal, and he made another nice connection with Alex Leone,” said Greene coach Rick Tallman. “Sidney was packing the box with eight or nine players, but Alex was able to find that one seam.”
After getting a pass from Leone, Driscoll beat the Sidney goalie one-on-one from eight yards out. Driscoll is now one goal shy of the school record for goals set by Jordan McMullen in 1999.
The Trojans (12-2) play at Oxford Saturday.

Brent Rasmussen scored twice in the first half, and he assisted Hunter Grace to give OV the two-goal lead at the break.
Michael Best scored once in each half for Madison to lead his team’s comeback. “The second half was a completely different game,” said OV coach Justin Barlow. “Madison came out strong and scored on some counter attacks. DELHI – Greene sophomore Paige Wilcox had the most prolific scoring night of her varsity career Thursday afternoon at Delhi.
Wilcox tallied a half-dozen times bringing her total to 35 on the season in the Trojans’ rout of the Bulldogs. “Everyone is stepping up and sending (Paige) nice passes,” said Greene coach Brandy Stone. “And sometimes she gets the ball and just goes around everyone and finishes. She has that capability, but others are giving her some nice passes.”

Unatego 4, Oxford 3
OXFORD – Unatego connected on a penalty kick with 30 seconds left in regulation to quash Oxford’s stirring comeback effort Thursday afternoon.
The Blackhawks, who lost to the Spartans 6-0 earlier this season, made up a two-goal deficit in the final 10 minutes of play. Emily Smith scored on a direct kick at 9:02, and just over three minutes later, Oxford’s Jacquelyn Heggie drilled in her own direct kick to knot the game.
Unatego pushed the ball into Oxford’s 18-yard box in the final minute, and a Spartans player was taken down inadvertently from behind to draw the penalty kick. Sarah Mannina put the free kick away with 30 seconds left, her third tally of the game. “It was a heartbreaker, but I was proud of the way our team kept playing and didn’t hang their heads,” said Oxford coach Kathleen Cragle. “We were closer to them at halftime than the first time we played, and saw that we could play with them. We knew we were down a player, and they had to step up. I hope this gives us the motivation to play better in our last two league games.”
Unatego led 2-0 at the half before Oxford’s Gabrielle Cozzitorto scored her team’s first goal. The Blackhawks host Greene Saturday at 11 a.m.
