OXFORD – Playing the first of three games in three days, Oxford rolled past visiting Afton Thursday in a make-up from Tuesday night.

Norwich 69, Chenango Forks 29
CHENANGO FORKS – Norwich hammered Chenango Forks early with its full-court press racing to a 30-point halftime lead en route to its fourth straight victory on Thursday night.
The Tornado went 18-for-36 from the field in the first half – including a pair of three balls – to lead 41-11. “They had a lot of trouble with our pressure,” said Norwich coach Josh Bennett. “Even in our halfcourt defense, we forced them into tough shots.”
Every player that suited up for Norwich found the scoring column led by Bryn Loomis’ 17 points. Hannah Runyon added 16. Four other NHS players had at least six markers. “We had a ton of runouts on fast breaks, and I think everyone had a piece of it,” Bennett said, whose club maintains a one-game lead in the STAC Central Division. “Our focus is to win every game ahead of us, and the next one is the most important.”
The Tornado (10-2) host Owego next Friday. This past Tuesday’s home game with Windsor, postponed due to school closing, was rescheduled for Monday, Jan. 31.
