G-MU 12, Edmeston 10
EDMESTON – G-MU won for the ninth time in 10 games this season taking a hard-fought victory from Tri-Valley League rival Edmeston on Thursday.
Edmeston closed to within two runs scoring three runs in the sixth thanks to four Raiders errors.
Ian Edwards delivered the eventual winning runs for the Raiders with a two-run single in the top of the seventh. “We had three big games this week, and you get drained physically and mentally,” said G-MU coach Jim Johnson, whose club made eight errors, all of them from the third inning on. “We were up 7-1 in the third and thought we might cruise. We came out relaxed in the third, made some errors, and suddenly it fell apart for a little bit. We were able to pick it back up and get the lead back to 10-5.”
Corin Todd had a two-run single in the first and scored three runs for G-MU. Jon Scofield contributed three hits and two runs scored.

Unatego 11, Unadilla Valley 4
NEW BERLIN – Unatego scored four runs in the third inning to take the lead for good, and added five runs over the final two innings to pull away for the win.
Jeff Jones’ RBI triple in the third was the key blow for the Spartans. Errors plagued UV in the later innings, and Unatego’s patience at the plate eventually chased UV starter Travis Conklin. “They had some smart at-bats and they consistently worked the count against Travis,” said UV coach Tom Locke.
Cody Chambers and Dale Rifenbark had two RBI for Unatego.
Zach Montgomery homered and doubled for UV finishing 3-for-4 with two RBI.
