SHERBURNE – Sherburne-Earlville’s defense contained Mount Markham’s high scorer Regina Licorini until the final minutes when the game was out of reach, and went on to its 15th win this season.

It was the third game this week for the Marauders, who managed to tie the school record for wins in a season. “The kids were a little tired, but we have such a good bench and can run kids in and out,” said S-E coach Jeff Barry. “Danielle Green did an awesome job defending Licorini.”

S-E used a big third quarter to open up a 20-point lead. Megan Record had six points, while Courtney Kurtz and Green had four points apiece. Record finished with a season-high 20 points to go with 12 rebounds. Kurtz added 11 points.

The Marauders (15-3) play at Cooperstown Monday.
