NORWICH – Stan Klockowski of Norwich missed just one of nine NFL games, and finished with a 16-for-20 week to claim the $25 first prize in The Evening Sun Football Contest last week.
Klockowski’s only NFL miss was Tampa Bay’s last-second field goal victory over Tennessee. He also failed on Norwich’s win over Oneonta; Oklahoma’s victory over Missouri, and Purdue’s loss to Michigan.
Norwich residents Ed Singleton, George Podenak, and Sylvia Figary along with New Berlin’s Jean Tyler all tied for second with 15 of 20 correct. Last week’s winner, Ralph Tryon of Norwich, was in a pack of 13 who had 14 right.
