Oxford 3, B-G 0

BAINBRIDGE – Oxford failed to hold a two-goal lead against B-G in the first meeting and settled for one of its four ties. It did no such thing Friday night with a win on the road.

Kilean Maynard scored at 14:49 of the first half, and Scott Seiler added two insurance goals in the second half for Oxford (6-4-4). “in the first half, we’d make a threat and their defense would shut us down,” said Oxford coach Tim Paden. “We played better possession soccer in transition from defense to offense in the second half.”

Larry Gill made eight saves and Seiler two for Oxford’s third shutout this season.

Sherburne-Earlville 3, Cooperstown 2
