AFTON – Unadilla Valley scored four goals in the first half and has six different players tally to even its mark at 2-2 on the season at Afton Thursday.

Shayne Wilcox was the lone UV player with two goals in the game, while Andy Hayes, Juston Parks, Raffi Perry, Alec Wilson, and Matt Potter contributed to the scoring offense. “They had a lot of good runs in the first half and kept the pressure on,” said Afton coach Ron Rapp. “We calmed down and moved the ball better in the second half. Our goals came after some pretty nice plays.”

Ernesto Aguirre and Jake Snyder scored for Afton.

COPES CORNERS – Cody Hall’s third goal of the game – to complete his second hat trick this season – off a Drew Hartman cornerkick forced a tie with Worcester Thursday.

The Raiders led 2-0 at halftime before trading goals and the lead with the visiting Wolverines. “We went from the penthouse to the outhouse, and then back to the penthouse,” said G-MU coach Mark Luettger. “Getting the tie feels an awful lot better than losing.”

Cooperstown 4, S-E 1

COOPERSTOWN – Luke Banner and Jason Conklin split Cooperstown’s goals evenly as the Redskins sent the Marauders to a Center State Conference loss Thursday.

The Marauders hung tight in the first half trailing by one goal on the strength of Bill Caton’s first goal this season. “We made a game of it by halftime,” said S-E coach Mike Rodriguez. “They scored quickly in the second half and we didn’t recover after that,”
